Talking Creators

The D'Amelios get even more social...commerce

The playbook is simple, find creators with massive social pull, give them a platform to connect with their fans, make it easy for their fans to make purchases, and stay out of the way.

Combined, the D'Amelios house a following of 170Million followers, so it's no surprise why Hollister rolls out the red carpet treatment when it comes to their drops.

The latest Social Tourist event streamed on Charli's channel to 118M followers, but with the help of other TikTokers and the Hollister brands account, the reach was collectively 300M+.

More On Creators

  • I've said it before but boxing is the new WWE. KSI takes a page out of the Paul brother's playbook by starting his own boxing promotions company as well as agreeing to a fight with Austin McBroom.

Talking Social & Platforms

TikTok Launches Jump

After getting the slow rollout treatment over the last few months, Jump get's the official stamp of approval. With Jump, creators can access third-party link integrations and send their audience to quizzes, Wikipedia pages, recipes, and other Jumps.

As of now, only approved partners gain access to Jump, so it's unclear if this will change in the future (probably not). In the meantime, you can start the application process here.

More On Social & Platforms

  • Influencer IPO: Agencies in China are planning IPO's. Why? The Livestreaming money is real.
  • Money everywhere: What's app gets the commerce treatment.
  • $3B for the house: SohoHouse is coming in at a $3B valuation despite never being profitable. Make it make sense.
